SEB U.S. Index Fund: socially responsible index

SEB Fund 3 – SEB U.S. Index Fund will use the MSCI USA Socially Responsible Index, based on SEB SRI Policy A. The new index has a socially responsible dimension that excludes, for example, companies involved in the manufacture of controversial weapons.

We wish to inform unitholders of SEB Fund 3 – SEB U.S. Index Fund (LU0268529194, LU0047323166, LU1058765303) that the board of directors of the management company, SEB Asset Management S.A., has decided to change the index from S&P 500 Net Total Return Index to the MSCI USA Socially Responsible Index, based on SEB SRI Policy A, with a tracking error that is not expected to exceed 0.3 percent. The changes take effect on 15 December 2015.

The new index has a slightly broader universe than the S&P 500 Net Total Return Index. The socially responsible dimension of the index excludes, for example, companies involved in the manufacture of controversial weapons. MSCI ESG Research will perform the screening. The MSCI USA Socially Responsible Index captures large and mid-capitalisation companies in the US that comply with the index’s socially responsible criteria.

Unitholders do not need to take any action in relation to the changes described here. Updated documentation will be on the management company’s website, www.sebgroup.lu, and, available on request, at its registered office.

Sincerely,
The Management Company
