The Board of Directors of SEB Alternative Assets S.A., SICAV-RAIF would like to provide an update on the closing process and expected distributions for the sub-funds SEB Microfinance IX EUR and SEB Microfinance IX SEK.
Background
The sub-funds were launched on 27 May 2021 with a fixed term of five years and are structured as closed-ended vehicles. In accordance with the prospectus, the investment period concludes at the end of May 2026.
The Board of Directors has resolved not to extend the term of the sub-funds. Consequently, the sub-funds will close with effect from 29 May 2026.
The portfolio managers are currently in the process of selling the underlying holding, and this process remains ongoing.
Distributions
A dividend distribution is scheduled for 30 April 2026. As in previous years, this distribution applies to share classes with distribution features (i.e. share classes with “D” in their name, such as D1 and D2).
Further closing proceeds are expected to be received from the underlying master fund, Symbiotic SICAV II – SEB Microfinance. The timing and amounts of these payments remain subject to confirmation and may be distributed in one or more instalments.
Timeline
- 30 April 2026: Annual dividend distribution for share classes with a distribution feature (i.e. share classes designated “D”).
- End of June 2026: Initial pay-outs expected to commence from the closed sub-funds.
