SEB started its activities in Luxembourg in the 1970s. The modern bank of today is the result of a merger between two banks, namely SEB Luxembourg and BfG Luxembourg in 2001. Spanning more than 40 years, we have developed our offering according to the needs of our clients and have expanded our presence globally to Singapore, and the UK which forms part of SEB Group Global Private Banking. While corporate banking and interbank trading was the mainstay of the business of SEB until the early 1990’s, private banking, fund administration and investor services to institutions now constitute the pillars for SEB in Luxembourg.
